The Terms & Conditions detailed below will govern the registration, administration and related activities of the Cambridge English Exams, administered by Planet EDU – ExtraExams, the authorised Platinum Centre. It is IMPORTANT that the candidate reads and fully understands the applicable exam related rules & regulations given hereunder:


  1. Exam Owner: Cambridge English Language Assessment (part of University of Cambridge) offers a range of International English qualifications for all ages and category of users, starting from school students at Class 1 to Teachers and Professionals.
  2. Authorised Centre: This refers to Planet EDU Exams Pvt. Ltd., having Centre No. IN 145, also referred as the “Centre”.
  3. No ID No Exam Policy: All candidates MUST BRING with them THE ORIGINAL VALID AND APPROVED IDENTIFICATION (ID) ON THE DAY OF THE TEST. If the candidate DOES NOT BRING the ID in original, on the test day, THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SIT THE EXAM. The candidate MUST CARRY WITH THEM, THE ID IN ORIGINAL FOR THE SPEAKING TEST also.
  4. Identification Document (ID): A valid Passport / Aadhar card / PAN card / Voter ID or Driving License are the approved ID. In case the candidate does not possess a valid ID in original, THEY MUST APPROACH THE CENTRE BEFORE MAKING THEIR APPLICATION. A clear photocopy of the ID must be submitted along with the application form. FOR UK IMMIGRATION PURPOSES, you must use a current valid passport as ID.
  5. Validity of the Identification Document (ID): The ID that is submitted by the candidate and accepted by the centre, MUST be valid as on the date of the exam. If the validity of ID submitted by the candidate expires before the date of the exam, the candidate WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to sit the test, the candidate will be treated, as NO SHOW and no refund will be applicable in such case.
  6. Arrangements for Special Needs: Cambridge English Language Assessment / Centre will try their best to arrange for the special needs (such as Visual difficulties, Hearing difficulties, Specific Learning difficulties i.e. Dyslexia) of an applicant as requested. The Candidates are advised to contact the centre BEFORE making their application to discuss the details about the special needs and seek confirmation about the centre being able to fulfil the needs of the candidate. Any application for special needs MUST BE SUPPORTED by necessary Medical Certificates. In certain circumstances, the requirements may take long processing time. It is therefore suggested that the applicant discusses with the centre such requirement prior to submitting the application form. Cambridge English Language Assessment and the Centre would try their best to make such arrangements, but do not guarantee fullfillment of such requests at all times.
  7. Application form & information: Application form, completed in all respects will be considered. incomplete applications will be rejected. the details on the application form are collected for the purposes of the cambridge english language assessment and that these details may be disclosed to, processed and stored by cambridge english language assessment and / or the Centre for the purpose of exam administration and that these details and the examination results will be disclosed by Cambridge English on its verification site and to those academic institutions or other recognizing bodies to whom the applicant submits enrolment application, for the purpose of allowing such institutions or entities to verify the results of the exam. If Cambridge English Language Assessment and / or the Centre discover that a false or altered Statement of Result has been provided to any one, Cambridge English Language Assessment may inform the same and provide the receiving institution with the applicant’s personal details. In such a situation the result of the candidate may be cancelled and the Centre may initiate necessary action against the candidate under the law of the land. The personal details of the applicant may be processed in an anonymous form for statistical and research purposes by Cambridge English Language Assessment and / or the Centre.
  8. Exam Booking: The exam application forms will be accepted by the centre on a first-come-first-served basis. Exam seats are limited and the registration will close for a particular exam, when all seats are booked or as decided by the centre. The decision of the centre will be final and binding on all candidates.
  9. Exam Fee: The exam fee is fixed by the centre and communicated to the candidates from time to time and will be updated on the website www.theplanetedu.com . The fee is subject to change, as per the decisions of the Centre and would be final and binding on all candidates. In case a candidate has made the booking for a future exam date and the fee is subsequently increased, the candidate will be require to pay the difference of the fee increased.
  10. Exam Fee Payment: All Payments, towards Exam fee, Transfer / Shifting (i.e. postponement / advancing the exam date) must be made by Demand Draft / Pay order / Credit Card / Debit Card / Cash (at HDFC Bank branches) only. The Demand Draft / Pay order must be drawn in favour of “Planet EDU”. IMPORTANT: MENTION YOUR NAME, ID NUMBER, EXAM NAME, EXAM DATE AND EXAM CITY on the reverse of the Demand Draft. Payment in CASH may be accepted at the Centre also. Candidates making fee payment by cash MUST insist on getting an official receipt. The candidate understands and agrees to pay a handling charge over and above the Exam fee, in case of making payments by credit / debit card.
  11. Photograph: All applications must be accompanied with 2 recent passport size photographs (no later than three months old) of the applicant. IMPORTANT: MENTION YOUR NAME, ID NUMBER, EXAM DATE AND EXAM CITY on the reverse of the Photographs. In case of applications is submitted on-line, it is mandatory for the candidate to bring with them 2 recent passport size photographs (no later than three months old) on the day of the first appearance of the candidate for the Exam, failing which the candidate WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SIT THE EXAM, the candidate will be treated as NO SHOW and no refund will be applicable in such case.
  12. Applying on-line: If a candidate applies on-line, i.e. through the Website www.theplanetedu.com, then he / she MUST pay the test fee by Credit Card or Debit Card (MASTER / VISA). The candidate agrees to pay a handling charge over and above the test fee, while paying by Credit Card or Debit Card, if applicable. The candidate must bring with them 2 recent passport size photographs (no later than three months old) on the day of the first appearance of the candidate for the Exam, failing which the candidate WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SIT THE EXAM, the candidate will be treated as NO SHOW and no refund will be applicable in such case.
  13. Allotment of Exam Date: Exam dates will be allotted based on the choices provided by the applicant in his / her application form or as selected while completing the online registration. However, in case the chosen date by the candidate is not available, the candidate will be notified of the next available date which if acceptable to the candidate will be allotted else the exam fee paid (if any) will be refunded to the candidate. The centre may alter / modify / merge test dates at its sole discretion and in absence of minimum number of candidates on an Exam date or due to any logistic / operational issues. The decision of the centre will be final and binding on the applicant. The candidate will be offered an alternate exam date in case of cancellation of an exam date. However, if the candidate does not wish to sit the exam on such alternate date offered by the centre, the full exam fee paid by the candidate will be refunded.
  14. Information Provided by the Applicant: The candidate takes full responsibility for the correctness of the information provided in the application form. Any information found to be in-correct at any stage will automatically lead to cancellation of the exam and the statement of result and fee paid for such exam will be forfeited.
  15. Speaking Exam: The Speaking Exam will be conducted as per a Speaking Exam window approved by Cambridge English Language Assessment. The exam may be conducted on the same day or prior to, or after the exam date of written examination. The applicant MUST check his / her speaking exam schedule 5 days prior to the exam date, by logging on to the website www.theplanetedu.com and going into the “Candidate Login” section. The Candidate may also call Toll free phone number 1800 102 1050 to get information between 08.30 am to 06.00 pm on Monday to Saturday except National and Public Holidays.
  16. Request for Transfer of Exam Date: A request for transfer of exam date (i.e. postponement or pre-ponement) to another date will be entertained as per the "Exam Date Transfer & Cancellation Policy", in effect at the time of such request and as modified from time to time. The decision of the Centre would be final and binding on the applicant. An administrative fee will be charged by the centre and payable by the candidate
  17. Request for Withdrawal / Cancellation: All applications for withdrawal / cancellation will be entertained as per the "Exam Date Transfer & Cancellation Policy", in effect at the time of such request and as modified from time to time. The decision of the Centre would be final and binding on the applicant. An administrative fee will be charged by the centre and payable by the candidate.
  18. No Show / Absent on Exam Day: In case an applicant fails to report on the exam date as per the reporting time provide to the candidate in the acknowledgement letter, his / her application will be treated as cancelled, the candidate will be treated as No Show and the candidate will lose their full exam fee. NO REFUND would be possible in case of absenteeism or no show. The decision of the Centre would be final and binding on the applicant.
  19. Exam day photograph: All candidates taking the Cambridge English Exam will have their photo taken on the day of the exam. This increases the security of the exam and will help organisations such as universities, employers and immigration authorities to confirm your result quickly and easily. No-one will be able to access your picture unless you give them access to it. All photos taken on the exam day are treated as confidential, like all other information provided in the application form. Your photo is stored by Cambridge English Language Assessment and is only visible on the secure Results Verification website. This website is used by universities, immigration authorities and other professional organisations to verify a candidate’s result. You choose which organisation can see your photo, by giving them your ID number and the secret number which is provided to you by the Centre.
  20. Voice sample: All candidates taking the Cambridge English Exam will have their speaking sample of their voice taken on the day of the exam. This increases the security of the exam and will help organisations such as universities, employers and immigration authorities to confirm your result quickly and easily.
  21. Malpractice: The centre will strictly deal with any malpractice(s) adopted by the applicant, including Impersonation, Tampering / Adjusting seating plan with malpractice in mind, copying / collusion, disrupting the test in any manner, removing or copying or attempting to remove or copy any test material from the examination room, doing anything that might in any manner damage the integrity and security of the Cambridge English Exam, as per guidelines of Cambridge English Language Assessment and the local law of the land. The examination of such candidates will be CANCELLED and the candidate will be DISQUALIFIED. No fee refund would be made in such cases. The candidate can also be liable to prosecution and may be prohibited from taking the Cambridge English Language Assessment examination in future, as per the decision of the centre and law of the land, which will be binding on the candidate.
  22. Malpractices / Frauds Intention: The candidate also understands and agrees that he / she MUST NOT pay to anyone, any fee on account of the exam. The candidate also understands and agrees that the candidate has not indulged in or has intention of indulging in any form of malpractice, such as using an imposter to sit the test on the candidate’s behalf, submitting forged document including the passport or use any other unlawful means including bribery or payment for any undue favors from anyone. The candidates also agree that if found guilty, the candidate’s statement of result will not be released and the exam will be cancelled and there would be no refund to the candidates. The candidate also understands and agrees that such matters may be reported to the government and law enforcing agencies and necessary action under the law may be initiated against candidates found to indulging in such acts. The candidate agrees to inform the Centre Ethics Officer on Email: helpdesk@theplanetedu.com immediately, if the candidate is approached by anyone offering fraudulent services or similar offering in lieu of getting desired results. All information will be dealt in strict confidence
  23. Delay in results: Cambridge English Language Assessment takes all necessary steps to release the results within the stipulated period. However, in view of the quality assurance audits, including re-checking and other similar activities in some cases, the results may be delayed. Candidates will be informed by Email provided on the application form about such delay including the expected result release date by the Centre. Cambridge English Language Assessment and / or the Centre will not be held responsible for any delays that may be caused in view of such quality assurance activities and no claims or refunds would be entertained.
  24. Withheld results: In some cases and as a result of quality assurance activities, exam day complaints leading to investigation, the results may be required to be withheld and these results may be released later and in phases after necessary verification / investigations have been completed. Cambridge English Language Assessment and / or the Centre will not be held responsible for any delays that may be caused in view of such quality assurance, investigation or related activities and no claims or refunds would be entertained.
  25. Result Validity: The statement of result is valid for life. However, the candidates are advised to check with the receiving body / accepting body, institution, visa office, immigration office etc. regarding the validity as the receiving / recognising bodies may set their own validity time period.
  26. Enquiry on Results (EoR) – Re-mark: The results conveyed by the Cambridge English Language Assessment will be final. However, applicant may apply for an Enquiry on Result (EOR) – Re-mark of their test results, if they so desire. Please check with the centre, regarding the procedure for applying for EOR, when to apply and the fee charged.
  27. Test Terms and Conditions: Once an application is submitted, it will be assumed that the applicant has read and understood all the terms and conditions herein. The terms and conditions can be modified and / or changed as deemed fit, by the centre, without giving prior notice. Such modified terms and conditions once communicated to the applicant would be applicable and binding on the applicant. In case of an online application through the website www.theplanetedu.com, the candidate will be required to read and accept the terms and conditions online. Once the candidate has checked the acceptance box it will be deemed that the candidate has read and agrees to the terms and conditions.
  28. Errors & Omissions: Cambridge English Language Assessment and the Centre will take full precautions that the test procedures, administering of the test and declaring of results are handled as per the guidelines of set and defined by Cambridge English Language Assessment and in the most professional manner, and that no errors or omissions are committed. However, in case any errors or omissions are reported / brought to the notice by the applicant, the same would be taken up and necessary action / remedial measures would be taken. The decision of Cambridge English Language Assessment and / or Centre in such case will be final and binding on the applicant. No claims or compensations of any nature would be entertained / applicable .
